I am writing this from campus.  So glad to be back in my office with my shark and all the books so close by.

This fall you will need to make an appointment to use the library. You can do it in the RMCAD App as well. The SLC will remain online only for the time being. Make appointments with the SLC at https://rmcad.mywconline.com/.

The library is limited to just a few people at a time and we don't currently have work tables. You CAN, however, dance around in the space with your arms out, just like Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. You can also come in and ask for help. You can browse the books. We have new plexiglass barriers at the circulation desk.  And we will be quarantining books as they come back, per standard library protocol.

If you need help with anything (hello! ArtStor Account), email the library at library@rmcad.edu and the SLC at learning@rmcad.edu

I am excited to see you, six feet away, with a mask on.

The library and SLC have been pretty busy over the past several months.  We have all learned screencasting and captioning and have put together a series of informative videos. You can access the video collections with RMCAD Google account here:

https://sites.google.com/rmcad.edu/libraryvideos

and here:

https://sites.google.com/rmcad.edu/slcvideolibrary/

The library videos are all about accessing our resources. We have so many resources and it is hard to remember all the details for using each one. While we are happy to help at any time, sometimes you just want a quick refresher and the videos are perfect for that.

The SLC videos include how to make an appointment with the SLC and many videos that will make your academic work easier: Chicago Manual of Style and how to use scholarly articles.

The videos don't take the place of people, but sometimes we just need that extra help. You can email the library at library@rmcad.edu and the SLC at learning@rmcad.edu for more information.

  10. I Said No Gifts - Host Bridger Winegar invites friends, loved ones, and people he's secretly trying to destroy to join him in conversation. He only has one request: No gifts! Naturally, every guest disobeys, meaning their chat will eventually turn to whatever object lies beneath the wrapping paper.
